Matt Mower: Bass Guitar also
Matt began playing guitar at age 9 when he was listening to such bands as Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica. By age 14 he was playing bass guitar with a garage band comprised of three guitarists who needed a bass player.
Five years later, having been exposed to many different music styles (from classical and folk to funk, punk and metal), Matt enrolled at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California. At the M.I., he took the opportunity to focus primarily on music, refining his skills, and learning new talents and techniques.
After attending the M.I., Matt played live acoustic sets for several months with a Santa Monica-based singer named 'Sharine'. Since then, he has continued his studies by playing guitar in various bands performing funk and metal songs. He also taught himself to play drums, and has played for local punk bands.
Matt has composed, arranged and recorded guitar, bass and drum music, and has collaborated with other musicians on musical scores. Most recently, Matt has recorded a solo CD of twelve instrumental funk songs. See his website at SimplyNoOne.com.
